Hi!

I’m Sam, The Wrexham Celebrant!

Whether you’re planning a wedding, vow renewal, naming ceremony or are choosing to mark any other important occasion, I am here to help you craft a bespoke ceremony that reflects who you are, your values, and your story.

A little about me – When I’m not planning, or attending, ceremonies, I’m curled up on the sofa with a good book and Penny (our beautiful rescue dog), wandering through the woods or watching the sea. I’m currently studying a Masters where I am focussing on finding different ways to artistically share our identities, stories and promote positive wellbeing. For me, ceremonies are a perfect way to provide that. I’m passionate about people and love holding space to listen and have time to reflect on moments within life, sharing stories and finding beauty in everyday moments. I’d love to create a ceremony that encapsulates everything important to you.

What is a celebrant?

A celebrant is a professional who officiates ceremonies such as weddings, vow renewals, naming ceremonies, funerals, and other life events. They work with you to create personalised, meaningful ceremonies that reflect your beliefs, values, and wishes.

I specialise in a wide range of ceremonies, including:

How do we get started?

Do you offer custom ceremonies?

Absolutely! Every ceremony is unique and tailored to your needs. Whether you’re looking for something traditional or contemporary, simple or elaborate, I will work with you to design a ceremony that reflects your personality and values and tells your story.

How far in advance should we book?

It’s recommended to book your celebrant at least 6 to 12 months in advance, especially for weddings or peak event seasons. However, I am happy to accommodate last-minute bookings depending on availability.

What is included in your celebrant services?

My celebrant services include:

Initial consultation and ongoing support
Custom-written ceremony script tailored to your needs
Assistance with any legal requirements (if applicable)
Ceremony rehearsal (if desired)
Officiating the ceremony on the day

Can we include special rituals or traditions in the ceremony?

Yes! I encourage incorporating personal rituals, family traditions, or cultural practices to make your ceremony even more meaningful. Some ideas include handfasting, sand ceremonies, unity candles, or blessings.

Can you perform ceremonies at any location?

I’m happy to officiate ceremonies at virtually any location, whether it’s a venue, park, beach, garden, or even your home. If you’re unsure about your location, I’m happy to help you choose the perfect setting.

Do you travel for ceremonies?

Yes, I travel for ceremonies. Please note that travel fees may apply for locations outside of a specific radius or for destinations requiring overnight stays.

What if we need to cancel or reschedule our ceremony?

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify me as soon as possible. I understand that plans can change and will work with you to accommodate any necessary changes. A cancellation policy may apply depending on the timing and circumstances.

What is the cost of hiring a celebrant?

The cost of hiring a celebrant can vary based on the type of ceremony, location, and the level of customization required. Please reach out for a quote based on your specific needs.

What happens if you are unable to perform the ceremony on the day?

In the unlikely event that I am unavailable on the day of your ceremony due to illness or other emergencies, I have a network of trusted colleagues who can step in and perform the ceremony on my behalf.

How do we pay for your services?

Payment details will be outlined in the agreement we sign. Typically, a deposit is required to secure your booking, with the remainder due before or on the day of the ceremony.
